This is one of our largest services with a strong multi-disciplinary team of people committed to engineering excellence, based in offices located in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, Terrigal and Wollongong.
The engineering and energy team employs 140 people with an average age of 29. This young, responsive and empowered workforce has a youthful enthusiasm tempered and balanced by our long serving principals. We encourage our people to engage with clients early in their career resulting in close personal attention on every project. Engineers and draftspeople are selected for each project on the basis of background and particular skills.
Our engineering and energy team is relationship driven and we value relationships with our clients and stakeholders. We take the time to consult on a regular basis to ensure we are meeting our client’s requirements. Gravitus encourages creativity and innovation and we are passionate about helping clients achieve a more sustainable outcome for their buildings that “future-proofs” them against an ever changing environmental, social and economic landscape.
The team’s work covers a range of engineering disciplines and we never want to be satisfied with doing things according to the status quo. With creative and longstanding expertise in environmental, structural, civil, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering we are able to offer our clients tailored design solutions regardless of what their needs are. We love what we do in the Gravitus engineering team and we strive to foster a culture where we take pride in our projects, and we have fun doing them.

As with all our projects, a full task appreciation is only gained after consultation with our client. This is a very important stage in our consultation approach.
In general however, we provide assistance in the following areas:

We have been involved in the design of many new general and special purpose buildings, refurbishment of existing buildings and the rehabilitation of sites after demolition of buildings. We can provide proactive advice on the viability of any proposal.
